From the first workshops to the flagship rolling stock plant of Central Asia.
With support from JICA and the Uzbek government, JSC TVZ is established on the basis of existing workshops. Construction of the main assembly shop begins.
The depot is commissioned. The plant begins depot maintenance of passenger cars for Uzbekiston Temir Yo'llari.
Construction of the second shop completed. Production of individual car body components begins. Workforce exceeds 800.
TVZ signs a contract with Tashkent Metro for capital-restoration overhaul of series 81-717 cars. A specialised section for metro rolling stock is opened.
After three years of development and testing, the TR TS 001/2011 certificate is obtained for the 61-950 compartment car (36 berths, 160 km/h). Serial production begins.
Production of the second model launched — the 61-951 open-berth car (54 berths). Equipped with climate control, USB charging and a new passenger information system.
First major export contract signed for delivery of 61-950 cars to the Republic of Kazakhstan. Cars certified for operation on KTZ network.
Construction completed and first 12-car New Uzbekistan diesel trainset (DEM2) commissioned. The trainset entered the Tashkent–Urgench route in December 2024.
Contract signed for 24 cars 61-951 to the Republic of Tajikistan, delivery in H2 2026. Production and export programme continues.
