Model 61-956 Compartment Staff Passenger Coach

The model 61-956 compartment staff coach is designed to carry passengers, including passengers with reduced mobility and wheelchair users, in passenger and mail-and-baggage trains. The coach is intended for operation on 1520 mm gauge railway lines at a design speed of up to 160 km/h.

The layout provides 26 passenger sleeping berths and 2 berths for attendants. The coach includes passenger compartments, an accessible compartment, a radio equipment compartment and service areas. An accessible toilet and boarding lifts on both sides of the coach facilitate travel for wheelchair users.

The coach is equipped with air conditioning, a combined hot-water heating system, an autonomous power supply, water supply systems and an environmentally friendly retention toilet system. Its construction includes an all-metal load-bearing body, two-axle bogies of models 68-921 and 68-922, SA-3 automatic couplers and an automatic electro-pneumatic braking system.
